The NFL is investigating the Bengals to determine why Joe Burrow was not listed on the team’s injury report this week, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini confirmed the report and added that the league will look into photos and practice video during its investigation, while also speaking with people in the organization.

Burrow injured his right wrist Thursday night against the Ravens, which caused him to miss most of the game. However, the Amazon game broadcast showed video of Burrow arriving at the stadium with a brace on his right wrist and thumb, despite not being listed on the practice report all week.

If the NFL finds that the Bengals violated league policy regarding the injury report, Schefter reports the league could punish the team through fines or even taking away draft picks.

Cincinnati coach Zac Taylor confirmed after the game that Burrow suffered a sprained wrist, and it is too early to tell how long he will be out. The Bengals head coach also denied knowledge of any preexisting injury for Burrow coming into the game.

“That was the first I saw anything about it,” Taylor said, via NFL Network’s Andrew Siciliano, regarding the video of Burrow entering the stadium.

This is the second injury that Burrow has suffered this year, as he dealt with a calf injury in training camp that impacted his play earlier in the season.
