By now everyone likely knows that Chiefs star tight end Travis Kelce has been dating pop star Taylor Swift. She’s attended a bunch of his games and he recently flew down to Argentina to see her perform during Kansas City’s bye week.

Swift reportedly won’t be in attendance at Monday night’s Eagles-Chiefs game, which has Travis Kelce facing off against his older brother, Jason Kelce, in a rematch of last season’s Super Bowl, but she is still a big storyline surrounding the game.

On Monday morning we heard from Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, on why she thinks the relationship is a good thing for her son as well as what she likes about Swift. Turns out, she knows her son pretty well.

"I think the attention is just part of the whole thing,” Donna Kelce said during an interview on Good Morning America. "She’s a megastar and I think Travis is embracing it as much as he can, so I think it’s OK. He likes attention, so he’ll be fine. As long as he can handle it, I don’t have any problems with it. She’s a very, very nice person."

Below is the entire piece, which includes Donna Kelce explaining why some people might be “tired of our family.”

Monday night’s game should be a fun one.
