Steve Aoki took the stage at Lumen Field on Thursday night for a halftime performance during the Seahawks’ Thanksgiving Day clash against the rival 49ers

But fans at home missed the halftime show due to a rather unfortunately timed commercial break.

Just as Aoki’s halftime show kicked off, the NBC broadcast cut to commercial, causing fans to miss out on the performance.

While Aoki was performing his DJ set, fans watching on NBC were on a commercial break. As such, they missed out on the 45-year-old launching a birthday cake into the face of Seattle’s mascot, Blitz, who seemed overjoyed by the incident.

Fans on social media were left confused after Aoki’s performance was skipped over in favor of commercials after less than 10 seconds, and many weren’t pleased to have missed out.
