Former NFL standout defensive tackle Warren Sapp blasted Patriots head coach Bill Belichick while appearing this week on Fearless With Jason Whitlock.

Sapp insinuated that Belichick’s success was solely the result of being able to coach two of the greatest stars in NFL history.

"Tom Brady is the reason why you’re Bill Belichick. Lawrence Taylor is the reason why you’re Bill Belichick,” said Sapp. “Maybe the greatest football player on offense and maybe the greatest football player on defense to ever be in the National Football League.”

The NFL Hall of Famer claimed that many of Belichick’s former assistants agree that the notion of the “Patriot Way” of winning is gone.

“Bill, that’s who you owe that to. All of the ‘Patriot way’ bulls*** is out the window,” added Sapp. “Ask Bill O’Brien. Ask Romeo Crennell. Ask Josh McDaniels. Ask any of them. It’s out the window.”

The seven-time Pro Bowl standout boldly stated that it’s time for Belichick to watch games from his couch instead of NFL sidelines.

“It’s time to go to the couch, the game is over,” Sapp boldly proclaimed.

The 2-8 Patriots will look to end a three-game losing streak when they head to MetLife Stadium to play the Giants on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
