NFL Fans Crushed Mac Jones After He Threw Another Awful Interception

The Patriots quarterback already has thrown 12 interceptions this season.

Patriots quarterback Mac Jones added to his interceptions total so far this season early on in Week 12’s game vs. the Giants with two badly thrown picks.

The second interception caused more of a social media reaction, though, as fans saw the pick as inexcusable. Jones was attempting to throw a short pass to receiver Demario Douglas, but the ball was intercepted by Giants linebacker Bobby Okereke, who then ran it back for 55 yards.

Jones understandably looked defeated after the play as he walked off the field. That was his 12th interception of the season. He no longer leads the NFL, though, as Commanders quarterback Sam Howell has thrown 13.

Backup quarterback Bailey Zappe came in to start in the second half.

There was a question of whether Jones would even start in Sunday’s game as coach Bill Belichick was hesitant to commit to him after the team’s loss to the Colts in Germany. Jones’s role will likely be up for question again after Sunday’s game.

NFL fans were quick to bash Jones’s performance in the first half. Take a look at some of the social media reactions, most of which called for the Patriots to make a quarterback change.
