NFL Fans Couldn’t Stop Laughing at the Patriots After They Lost in Embarrassing Fashion to Giants

The game was extremely close to going into overtime.

The Patriots were set up to attempt a 35-yard field goal at the end of Week 12’s game vs. the Giants in order to push the game to overtime.

New England kicker Chad Ryland lined up to tie the game at 10 points apiece, but his kick was no good as it steered way left. The Giants secured a 10–7 win with the miss.

This loss moved the Patriots to a 2–9 record and put them in line to earn the No. 2 draft spot in 2024 behind the Bears. Some fans were purposefully rooting for a loss so the team has a better chance to select a top pick next year.

Feel awful for Chad Ryland, but in the long run, the missed FG is a win for the #Patriots.
