Bills defensive tackle Jordan Phillips and defensive end Shaq Lawson took to Instagram Monday to explain a viral video circulating that showed them and linebacker Greg Rousseau confronting an Eagles fan in the middle of their game in Philadelphia on Sunday. Lawson shoved the man who was in the stands before returning to the sidelines during the confrontation.

“I love the crowd I love rowdy fans it makes the game fun,” Phillips wrote on Instagram. “But one thing I’m not going to tolerate is someone threatening me or my family. This is a line that shouldn’t be crossed.”

It’s unclear exactly what was said, but whatever it was, it was strong enough that it got Phillips, Lawson and Rousseau to all approach the fan quickly and angrily.

Lawson also posted on Instagram and confirmed that the fan was making life-threatening remarks. He added that players told security to remove him before the game started, but he was allowed to stay the entire time before their anger boiled over.
