Tua Tagovailoa Shows Off His Guitar Skills During ‘ManningCast’ Appearance
Dolphins star Tua Tagovailoa has dazzled NFL fans with his play throughout the season but on Monday night, the veteran quarterback impressed the masses by showing off a different set of skills in primetime.
Tagovailoa joined NFL legends Eli and Peyton Manning for an eventful appearance on ESPN’s ManningCast during Week 13’s Bengals-Jaguars game, during which the 25-year-old QB showcased his exceptional talent playing the guitar.
After first joking he didn’t know what to play, Tagovailoa laughed off Tennessee icon Peyton’s suggestion of “Rocky Top” before responding with a brief yet smooth rendition of “Sweet Home Alabama” as a hilarious nod to his alma mater.
Tagovailoa, after joking with Peyton about not liking his song selection, then landed on Eric Clapton’s “Tears in Heaven” for the song he wanted to play. As Tagovailoa played the classic tune, however, Peyton, perhaps feeling the beat, opted to sing a recap of the game’s latest plays over the music.

Manning’s terrible vocals, unsurprisingly, could be described as admirable at best. But to Tagovailoa’s credit, his guitar-playing prowess managed to overshadow the Hall of Famer’s sketchy singing.
In all, Tagovailoa, whose Dolphins will face the Titans next Monday night, seemingly found a great way to spend his off-night in what was another memorable segment on the Mannings’ beloved show.
