A.J. Brown’s Three-Word Quip Hints at Eagles’ Confidence in Clash vs. Cowboys
Eagles wideout A.J. Brown had a few words of warning for the Cowboys ahead of Week 14’s Sunday night showdown between the NFC East heavyweights.
Brown ripped off 142 yards in last week’s 42—19 loss to San Francisco, but he and the rest of the Eagles will be looking to bounce back and regain some confidence in a prime-time matchup against the Cowboys.
When asked whether Philly addressed its perceived lack of energy in the 49ers game, Brown said with a smirk, “I’m going to keep what we say in the locker room, but you gonna see. You gonna see.”
In their most recent meeting in Week 9, the Eagles beat Dallas 28—23 in Philadelphia. Brown and DeVonta Smith recorded a touchdown apiece, and Jalen Hurts finished with 207 passing yards and one rushing touchdown.
Brown, who has only logged one 100-plus yard game in the last four weeks, said all he needed to say in the pregame chatter leading up to the highly anticipated NFC matchup. The fans will just have to see, indeed.
The Eagles (10—2) play the Cowboys (9—3) at 8:20 p.m. ET on Sunday.
