The Jets and Texans played a game of football on Sunday. If you weren’t watching during Week 14, don’t worry, you didn’t miss much.

Through the first half of action, both teams were scoreless in a back-and-forth defensive struggle.

Though “defensive struggle” might be generous. The Jets’ offense was as lifeless as ever, and neither defense came up with any wild turnovers that could flip a short field for their offense to make something happen.

Instead, there were 11 drives between the two teams, and all 11 resulted in punts.

The half ended with Zach Wilson kneeling the final seconds away to take the teams back into the tunnels at 0–0.

For a certain type of football fan, the first half was high art.

But for most fans, the game was just plain ugly. The Jets and Texans combined for just 163 yards in the first half. It was the first scoreless first half of NFL football since 2019.

Fans following the action—or lack thereof—let their voices be heard on social media.
