Vikings Defense Nailed a Comical Keg Stand Celebration After Recovering Fumble vs. Raiders
Offense was not a factor for much of Week 14’s game between the Raiders and Vikings, as neither team was able to get into the end zone through three quarters of play.
With the game still knotted up at 0–0, Minnesota’s defense came away with a big turnover, forcing a fumble off wide receiver Hunter Renfrow, who had hauled in a pass from Aidan O’Connell.
There hadn’t been much for fans to cheer about up to that point in the game, but the Vikings’ defense made sure to bring plenty of enthusiasm while celebrating the fumble recovery.
Players raced into the end zone and quickly lifted cornerback Mekhi Blackmon in the air by his legs. Blackmon then proceeded to pretend to do a keg stand while his teammates circled around him.
In what had been an otherwise lackluster game, the Vikings’ defense stepped up with a big takeaway and a creative celebration to match.
Defenses across the league have pulled out a slew of funny celebrations after coming away with turnovers, but Minnesota took things up a notch with its antics on Sunday.
Unfortunately, Josh Dobbs and the offense weren’t able to capitalize on the fumble recovery, as they punted after an eight-play, 22-yard drive just a few minutes later.
