Aaron Rodgers Looked So Sad on Jets Sideline, and NFL Fans Had Lots of Jokes

Fans wonder whether the quarterback will try to return next weekend to play or not.

Aaron Rodgers could be medically cleared this week to return next Sunday from his torn Achilles injury. But there was a video caught of the Jets quarterback during Week 15’s game vs. the Dolphins that made fans believe he may not want to return to the team this season.

Rodgers stood on the sidelines on Sunday during his team’s rough performance, watching Miami dominate. The Dolphins scored 17 points on New York in the second quarter alone, for example.

The CBS broadcast caught a glimpse of Rodgers’s reaction to some of the ugly plays occurring from his team. The quarterback appeared to just shake his head and roll his eyes repeatedly. He clearly looked frustrated with the team.

Rodgers was then seen sitting on the bench, seemingly checked out of the game. Zach Wilson was determined out for the contest in the third quarter with a head injury, meaning Trevor Siemian was in at quarterback.

NFL fans couldn’t help but make fun of the Jets and Rodgers’s situation, making the video of the quarterback into a meme. Fans especially hope that Rodgers decides not to come back this season based on Sunday’s performance. Check out some of the best tweets.
