Another Kadarius Toney Drop Leaves Patrick Mahomes Fuming in Frustration

The Chiefs’ quarterback was not happy with his receiver after failing to catch one of his passes.

Kadarius Toney didn’t need another blunder in Week 15 after the Chiefs wide receiver dominated NFL headlines for his late-game offsides penalty in Kansas City’s 20–17 loss to the Bills in Week 14.

However, Toney delivered another untimely play that left Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes furious. With 9:20 to play in the fourth and Kansas City holding a 27–10 lead, Mahomes attempted to connect with Toney on a short pass across the middle that he juggled before Patriots linebacker Jahlani Tavai came up with the interception.

After the interception, the two-time Super Bowl champion retreated to the sideline, where he sat on the bench and displayed his frustration with NSFW language. It also didn’t help that a struggling New England (3–10) responded with a touchdown two plays later, cutting the deficit to 27–17.

However, Kansas City (8–5) managed to win the game despite Toney’s fourth-quarter gaffe. The Chiefs will return to action on Christmas against the Raiders (6–8) in an AFC West showdown.
