Browns Tight End Had a NSFW Response to How He Was Feeling During Bears’ Hail Mary
Week 15’s game between the Browns and Bears came down to the final play.
With Chicago trailing 20–17 and the ball just past midfield, quarterback Justin Fields threw a high-arcing Hail Mary pass to the end zone as the final seconds ticked off the clock.
For a moment, it looked as though the Bears had pulled off a miracle, as the ball landed briefly in the hands of wide receiver Darnell Mooney. But just as quickly as Mooney had the ball, he lost it, bobbling it away to a Browns defender.
The game ended on an interception. Browns hold on to win.
Fans were on the edge of their seats for the final play and apparently, so was Browns tight end David Njoku, who was watching from the sidelines.
Speaking with reporters after the game, Njoku was blunt in his summary of his feelings during the dramatic finish.
“I damn near s--- myself, dog,” Njoku said, per Zac Jackson at The Athletic.
Browns fans couldn’t help but relate to their tight end.
After surviving the Hail Mary scare, the Browns left the game with a 20–17 victory, moving to 9–5 on the season, and the city of Cleveland could collectively exhale.
