Lions Trolled Russell Wilson and His Wife, Ciara, So Hard Before Win Over Broncos

Ford Field chose an interesting music playlist during warm-ups.

The Lions thought of an interesting way to mess with Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson’s head before their matchup on Saturday.

Ford Field played 25 full minutes of music from rapper Future while the two teams warmed up. The music only changed to other artists once Wilson walked off the field.

Now, what does Future have to do with Wilson? Well, Wilson’s wife, Ciara, used to be engaged to Future and the two share a son together. The couple broke off the engagement back in 2014.

The rapper has dissed the quarterback a few times on some of his songs. Most recently, one of Future’s songs “Turn Yo Clic Up” featured a lyric saying “F--- Russell.” It’s unclear if any of Future’s songs that diss Wilson were included in the pregame playlist.

The Lions ended up crushing the Broncos 42–17 on Saturday. The music choice likely had nothing to do with Wilson’s loss, but it’s still a unique way to troll the quarterback.

Wilson and Ciara have been married since July 2016 and share three children together. The couple just announced the birth of their daughter, Amora Princess, on Dec. 11.
