NBC’s Peacock streaming service will host its first ever exclusive NFL on Saturday night when the Bills travel to Los Angeles to take on the Chargers.

Peacock is making sure that its first broadcast is one to be remembered, as the service announced on Thursday that it will air a commercial-free fourth quarter. There has never been a commercial-free quarter of football in the modern television era.

As part of the announcement NBC stated that the planned a 40% reduction in ads will be replaced with more than 12 minutes of game content. While there won’t be commercials, there will still be scheduled breaks for the players throughout the fourth quarter like a traditional broadcast. But instead of airing commercials during these game breaks, Peacock will instead air special in-game content, studio updates and other analysis during the pauses in the action throughout the fourth quarter.

It will be interesting to see how this is received on Saturday night. Since the content is expected to be game-related, it’s likely that the NFL’s first pass at commercial-free football on Peacock is likely to be a big win for fans across the sport.

The Bills and Chargers are set to kick at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday night.
