Arizona’s James Conner, who was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s lymphoma back in 2015, has been cancer free for nearly nine years.

On Sunday, cameras captured Conner sharing a special moment with several young cancer survivors prior to the road against Seattle.

“I’m in remission,” said the fan donning a black Arizona Cardinals No. 48 jersey. “Bro, I love to hear that brother,” replied Conner.

The two-time Pro Bowl running back also enjoyed a meeting with a fan named Coop sporting a red Kyler Murray No. 1 jersey.

“What’s up, Coop? How are you doing man?,” asked Conner.

“Good. I am a cancer survivor too,” said Coop.

“Congratulations buddy. I love to hear it,” added Conner.

The versatile back, who became cancer free five months after treatments commenced while attending the University of Pittsburgh, was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In his third season with Arizona, the 28 year-old Conner eclipsed the 1,000 mark for the first time in his career, gaining 1,040 rushing yards in just 13 games this season. His production on the ground ranked sixth among all running backs in the NFL in 2023.

Conner, who has scored 61 total touchdowns in 91 career games, continues to be an inspiration for all cancer survivors that despite being diagnosed with the disease dreams can still be attained.
