Sunday’s wild-card game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins was the first NFL playoff game to ever broadcast exclusively on a streaming service, and fans couldn’t have been more annoyed.

Ahead of the massive matchup, fans had already voiced their displeasure with the NFL for its decision to go through with it, but there’s nothing like real-time anger. Across the country fans took to X, formerly Twitter, and roasted the league in furious fashion. From having to explain to some older fans how to get Peacock to fans attending sports bars that didn’t even have a subscription so you couldn’t watch the big game, it was an utter disaster for the demographic that should matter most: casual fans.
