Falcons to Give Jim Harbaugh a Second Interview, per Report
Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh reportedly is heading down to Atlanta for another visit.
The Atlanta Falcons have scheduled a second interview with Harbaugh for their open head-coaching position, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Friday.
Harbaugh initially met with the Falcons on Tuesday. The second interview is scheduled for next week.
The Falcons also have interviewed former Patriots coach Bill Belichick, Ravens defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald, Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, 49ers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and Ravens assistant head coach Anthony Weaver for the open position.
Belichick, looking for his next stop after spending 24 years in New England, reportedly had his second interview with the Falcons on Friday.
Harbaugh is fresh off leading the Wolverines to an undefeated 15–0 season and a national championship. He has interviewed with multiple NFL teams the past few offseasons and could be eyeing a return to the league for the first time since leading the 49ers to a 44-19-1 record from 2011 to ‘14.
