The Green Bay Packersseason ended Saturday night with a 24–21 to the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round of the playoffs.

It was a riveting game that came down to the final minute, as the Packers had the ball with a chance to tie or take the lead. Unfortunately for Green Bay fans, the team’s hopes ended when quarterback Jordan Love was intercepted by 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw with 46 seconds left. San Francisco then was able to run out the clock.

After the game, Love lamented forcing the ball over the middle instead of throwing it away. He called the decision a “mortal sin.”

“I haven’t looked at it yet, haven’t looked at any pictures,” Love told reporters. “Looking back on it, yeah, throw it away. I don’t know if I had an opportunity to be able to run, maybe get out of bounds. But, you know, force it across the middle late, which is a mortal sin, and it cost us. So, it’s something I’ll look at, but that’s an area right there where I’ll be able to look at, grow from and get better in the future.”

Love completed 21 of 34 passes for 194 yards with two touchdown passes and two interceptions.

The 49ers will play host to the winner of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers-Detroit Lions matchup in the NFC championship game next Sunday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
