San Francisco 49ers receiver Deebo Samuel has a “50-50” chance of playing in Sunday’s NFC championship game vs. the Detroit Lions, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported

Samuel suffered a shoulder injury during Saturday’s 24–21 win over the Green Bay Packers in the divisional round of the playoffs. He was ruled out for the game after being hit hard in the first quarter by Packers cornerback Jaire Alexander.

Medical staff attended to the receiver on the field, then took him to the blue medical tent on the sidelines before ultimately going to the locker room. The shoulder injury could sideline Samuel for Sunday night if he isn’t feeling better by then.

A potential Samuel absence would be huge for the 49ers as he totaled 892 yards and seven touchdowns during the regular season. He only logged 24 yards on two receptions during Saturday’s playoff game before being ruled out.
