Tom Brady Shares Epic Reaction as Travis Kelce, Patrick Mahomes Eclipse His Playoff Record

G.O.A.T.s recognize G.O.A.T.s.

NFL legend Tom Brady gave Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce their flowers after the Kansas City Chiefs’ star duo broke one of Brady’s playoff records.

In Sunday’s 27—24 divisional playoff win over the Buffalo Bills, Mahomes and Kelce teamed up for the 16th playoff touchdown of their careers, surpassing Brady and Rob Gronkowski for the most postseason touchdowns by a quarterback-receiver duo in league history.

Brady and Gronkowski recorded 12 playoff touchdowns together with the New England Patriots and three more as members of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Brady retweeted a graphic of Mahomes and Kelce on Monday with the caption, “BEASTS. When you one up gronk you’re doing something right.”

It’s nice to see Brady giving credit where credit’s due as he watches this year’s postseason from afar. Mahomes, who just booked a ticket to his sixth straight AFC championship game, briefly commented on breaking the Brady-Gronkowski record.

“We always emphasize getting the ball to Travis,” Mahomes told the Kansas City Star on Sunday. “Passing anything that has Brady and Gronk in it is special. Those are two of the greatest players—and Tom is the greatest—so you appreciate that.”

The 28-year-old Mahomes also passed Ben Roethlisberger and Drew Brees for the sixth-most career playoff passing touchdowns in NFL history with 38.

Mahomes’s partner in crime, Kelce, had five catches for 75 yards and two scores on Sunday, and he’s just six catches shy of Jerry Rice’s playoff receptions record (151), inching closer to becoming the most prolific receiver in NFL playoff history.
