It’s safe to say that San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuel is fed up with the criticism of quarterback Brock Purdy.

Samuel ripped ESPN analyst and former NFL star Ryan Clark on Instagram, who went on First Take and one again questioned whether Purdy could deliver San Francisco to the promised land. Clark, who tweeted over the weekend that he didn’t know how Purdy could beat the likes of Lamar Jackson or Patrick Mahomes in a Super Bowl, doubled down in an appearance on First Take, calling it “the single hardest thing” he had to do this season to consider Purdy to be among the game’s best quarterbacks.

That rubbed Samuel and other 49ers the wrong way.

“Never seen so much hate for a QB that [leads] the league in almost every category,” Samuel posted on his Instagram story.

Fellow 49ers wideout Brandon Ayiuk also chimed in, telling analysts to “turn on the tape” when in comes to Purdy.

Purdy and the Niners likely won’t be able to silence the doubters much without breaking through to win the championship. But Purdy’s performance over the weekend late against the Packers did quiet some of the hate, and if nothing else keep 49ers fans singing Purdy’s praises for another week.
