NFL Announces Referee, Officiating Crew for Super Bowl LVIII

The NFL has released the officiating crew for Super Bowl LVIII, which is set to take place at Allegiant Stadium on Feb. 11.

The crew chief is Bill Vinovich, who has 18 years of experience in the league and has worked two Super Bowls before in Super Bowl XLIX and Super Bowl LIV. The 62-year-old Vinovich is the eighth official in NFL history to work at least three Super Bowls as crew chief.

Notably, Vinovich served as crew chief of the 2018 NFC championship game which featured the infamous no-call against the New Orleans Saints. He was also referee for the Baltimore Ravens' 33—19 regular season win over the San Francisco 49ers in December.

The rest of the NFL officiating crew for Super Bowl LVIII includes Terry Killens as the umpire, Patrick Holt as the down judge, Mark Perlman as the line judge, Tom Hill as the field judge, Allen Baynes as the side judge, Brad Freeman as the back judge, and Mike Chase as the replay official.

The Super Bowl officials were selected from the pool of 28 officials who worked the divisional round of the playoffs. Officials are not allowed more than two postseason assignments.
