What do the Los Angeles Chargers and newly appointed coach Jim Harbaugh have in common? A shameless love for P.F. Chang’s.

Harbaugh’s recent hire led NFL fans to dig up old tweets and make a startling discovery, one that conspiracy theorists will claim was a pivotal part of Harbaugh’s full-circle journey back to the Chargers.

It all started in 2007, when a staffer on the Chargers’ social media team tweeted, “soo hungry need to find my wife and head to pf changs.”

Years later, Bleacher Report published an article detailing when—and more importantly, where—Harbaugh met his wife, Sarah.

“Jim Harbaugh’s wife Sarah Harbaugh (formerly Sarah Feuerborn) met the then University of San Diego head coach in the parking lot of a PF Chang’s in 2006, just months before Harbaugh jetted to Stanford for their head coaching gig.”

It’s highly possible that at the time, the social media staffer was unaware of Harbaugh’s meet-cute with his wife outside of P.F. Chang’s and posted his comment on the fast-food chain solely for personal reasons.

However, many fans believe otherwise. The Chargers’ social team even jumped on the viral Harbaugh—P.F. Chang’s connection and tweeted a cheeky throwback on Wednesday, the day of the former Michigan coach’s hire.

Jim Harbaugh’s son, James, has since confirmed his father’s deep-seated affection for the Asian fusion restaurant, admitting that the two dined at P.F. Chang’s for James’s birthday one year.

Regardless of the intentions of the Chargers staffer’s infamous tweet, which remains up to this day, someone working for the franchise loved P.F. Chang’s enough to post about it. Harbaugh loved it enough to take his son there for his birthday.

As Harbaugh kickstarts his second career NFL head coaching gig, his Chargers’ tenure will hopefully be filled with plenty of wins, awards, and playoff appearances—as well as a hearty helping of P.F. Chang’s.
