Taylor Swift’s Gracious Gift to Bills’ Stadium Worker Was All Class
Kansas City Chiefs players had a night to remember after clinching a 27—24 divisional playoff win over the Buffalo Bills last Sunday. So, too, did one lucky Highmark Stadium employee.
Jerris Rainey, a ticket taker at the Bills’ venue, got to meet pop star Taylor Swift at the game, and she later recounted the unforgettable experience to Michael Wooten of WKBW-TV. Swift attended the game to support her significant other, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce.
“She’s a sweetie pie. Very down to earth,” Rainey told Wooten. “I just wanted to just see her, and she stopped, and she asked me if I worked at the stadium. I said yes. And she asked if she could give me a tip. And she gave me $100 and then she asked if I wanted to take a picture with her, and I said yes.”
This isn’t Swift’s first classy act of generosity at a recent NFL game.
Back in December, Swift was seen handing several large bills to a food runner at Gillette Stadium when the Chiefs played at the New England Patriots.
For as long as Swift continues to shine her celebrity on the NFL, a handful of people in the industry may react to her headline-making stories with annoyance. But the difference she makes, especially in personal moments like these, is simply undeniable.
