As the Detroit Lions progressed through a breakout 2023-24 season and playoff run to the NFC championship, one of their celebrity fans has become more public and vocal in his support of the team

Eminem has been a regular presence at Ford Field and recorded an entertaining video before Detroit’s wild-card playoff game versus the Los Angeles Rams in which he implored former Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford to “let us have this one.”

The rapper traveled to Levi’s Stadium for the Lions’ NFC championship matchup with the San Francisco 49ers and early in the game, he let the local fans know what he thought of them and their team. What Eminem may have said isn’t known, but he made his sentiments clear with a universally recognized finger gesture.

Eminem was surely feeling pretty good as the Lions built a 21–7 lead in the second quarter. Maybe his hand gestures were more friendly at that point.

But after halftime, Detroit’s performance dropped off significantly and the 49ers soon tied the score at 24–24. Keeping their momentum while the Lions’ offense made key mistakes, San Francisco took a 27–24 lead in the fourth quarter and eventually won the game, 34–31,

What Eminem did with his hands after that, or if he stayed in view of the 49ers fans in the Levi’s Stadium fans, wasn’t recorded on social media. If his hands stayed in his pockets, that wouldn’t have been nearly as entertaining
