Travis Kelce Aiming to Match Taylor Swift's Grammy's Success With Chiefs' Super Bowl Win
The Kansas City Chiefs have arrived in Las Vegas ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, and players were made available to the media at Allegiant Stadium on Monday evening in the buildup to the clash against the San Francisco 49ers.
Travis Kelce was asked about the success of Taylor Swift at the Grammies, where the pop music star won a record-setting fourth Album of the Year award.
Kelce, who is in a relationship with Swift, admitted that her success on music’s biggest stage inspires him heading into the Super Bowl.
“She’s unbelievable. She’s rewriting the history books. I told her I need to hold up my end of the bargain and bring home some hardware, too,” said Kelce of Swift.
The star tight end added that he’s heard some of Swift’s new album, The Tortured Poets Department, which she announced during her acceptance speech after winning the 14th grammy of her career, though he refused to leak any spoilers.
Kelce, who has two Super Bowl wins already on his résumé, noted that seeing Swift dominate at such a high level makes him hungrier than ever to come away with a win over the 49ers.
The 34-year-old added that he’s “on a mission” to win back-to-back Super Bowls and cement in Chiefs’ place in history after having fallen short in their first attempt at winning two in a row.
