Eagles’ Fletcher Cox Roasts 49ers Nemesis Deebo Samuel After Super Bowl Loss
Philadelphia Eagles defensive tackle Fletcher Cox has been waiting for this one.
Immediately after the San Francisco 49ers lost Super Bowl LVIII to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, he went to Instagram and took aim at a bitter rival to rub some salt in the wound.

There’s been no love lost between the 49ers and Eagles in recent years, and that was evident even with Philadelphia done for the season. Ahead of Sunday’s Big Game, San Francisco star wide receiver Deebo Samuel was asked about the NFC rivalry between the two squads and said, “I consider rivalries close games. We ain’t going to talk about that no more. That’s over with.”
Samuel was referring to his team’s 42–19 win over Philadelphia in Week 13, and it appears Cox was waiting to say something ever since.
His moment came Sunday.
“Keep the EAGLES OUT CHO MOUTH BOE,” Cox wrote on his Instagram story while tagging Samuel. “I still got some you ain’t got. Ya!! I been holding this one in son!!!!!”
Cox won a Super Bowl with the Eagles over the New England Patriots in the 2017 season. Samuel is now 0–2 in the Big Game.
