Travis Kelce and Andy Reid Laugh Off Heated Sideline Exchange

Winning the Super Bowl solves a lot of arguments.
In this story:

Sunday night ended with champagne for the Kansas City Chiefs after defeating the San Francisco 49ers 25–22 in Super Bowl LVIII.

It was the second straight championship for the Chiefs and cemented them as a dynasty of the modern football world.

But before the bottles were popped in the winning locker room, there was quite a bit of stress on the field.

At one point early in the game, things appeared to momentarily boil over between tight end Travis Kelce and coach Andy Reid on the sidelines.

But winning the Super Bowl heals a lot of wounds. After the game, both Kelce and Reid joked about the exchange.

“He caught me off balance,” Reid said. “I got this fake hip and he caught me off balance.”

Reid showed a lot of love for his player in the moment.

“The guy makes me feel young. He’s been with us longer than anybody. He’s a seasoned veteran. He caught me off guard then I had to go take care of business with him.”

Kelce similarly laughed off the exchange, saying he was simply telling his coach how much he loved him.

Kelce and Reid weren’t the only ones making jokes about the moment, as the image of Kelce shouting quickly became a popular meme on social media as the game progressed.

Kelce and Reid laughed all the way to another Super Bowl ring.
