Like any fan, Taylor Swift congratulated Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Mecole Hardman after the Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday.

Swift was seen chatting with Hardman on the field following the 25–22 victory, and she had a short and sweet message for the former New York Jets wideout.

“So happy for you guys,” Swift told Hardman. The two continued to talk for several seconds, but the rest of their conversation was difficult to hear.

Hardman getting praised by the Eras Tour pop star most likely wasn’t on anyone’s Chiefs’ bingo card this year. Then again, neither was Hardman scoring the Super Bowl-winning touchdown.

The 2019 second-round pick was on the receiving end of the famous “Corn Dog” play in overtime that gave the Chiefs their third Super Bowl title in the last five years. Hardman, who left Kansas City last offseason to join the Jets, made his way back to his old team in the middle of the 2023 season

He only played 33% of offensive snaps and didn’t find the end zone once during the regular season, but he made an undeniable impact in Super Bowl LVIII and got a heart-to-heart conversation with Taylor Swift to boot.
