Patrick Mahomes Has One Simple Request for the NFL Combine Broadcast

He’s tired of this one video resurfacing each year.

The annual NFL scouting combine gives fans a chance to revisit some of their favorite players’ highlights from their combine days.

There’s one player in particular who wants one of his combine videos to stop being posted—Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. His 40-overlay continues to resurface online as he ran a 4.80, which isn’t a very notable time.

The video went viral two seasons ago when NFL Network used footage from Mahomes’s 40-yard dash to show soon-to-be Atlanta Falcons quarterback Desmond Ridder leaving him in the dust.

During this week’s combine, Mahomes had one simple request for the coming broadcast.

“As the combine starts this week! All i ask is that @nflnetwork doesn’t use my 40 overlay anymore,” Mahomes tweeted with three laughing emojis.

In hindsight, Mahomes’s subpar 40-time hasn’t been any sort of hurdle on his path to becoming the best quarterback in the NFL.

He just won his third Super Bowl title with the Chiefs earlier this month, and finished the win over the San Francisco 49ers as Kansas City’s leading rusher with 66 yards on the ground.

Seems like he’s fast enough.
