Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions Seeks Bill Belichick for Media Job, per Report

Could two old NFL rivals team up?

Two decades ago, Indianapolis Colts quarterback Peyton Manning and New England Patriots coach Bill Belichick were fierce rivals on the field—with three postseason meetings in the 2000s to their names.

Now, the Hall of Fame player and future Hall of Fame coach may soon be teammates.

Manning’s media company—Omaha Productions—is courting Belichick for a media job, according to a Wednesday morning report from Andrew Marchand of The Athletic.

Furthermore, according to Marchand, Belichick signing with Omaha Productions could lead to the creation of a joint broadcast featuring Belichick and legendary former Alabama coach Nick Saban, who is now with ESPN. Belichick and Saban are longtime friends, having worked together on the Cleveland Browns’ staff in the early 1990s.

Belichick, 71, and the Patriots parted ways on Jan. 11. A six-time Super Bowl champion as coach, Belichick struggled to adapt after quarterback Tom Brady’s 2020 departure and finished 4–13 in his final season.

He remains in high esteem for his football knowledge, however, and thus a new suitor has reportedly emerged for his services—joining CBS and NBC, per Marchand.
