Ravens to Sign RB Derrick Henry to Two-Year Deal, per Report
Free agent running back Derrick Henry has agreed to sign a two-year contract worth $16 million with the Baltimore Ravens, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Henry confirmed the news soon afterward on X, formerly Twitter, with one simple message: “Flock Nation I swea it’s up !” he wrote online.
The 30-year-old is one of the best tailbacks of his generation and now will team up with one of the NFL’s premiere offenses led by reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson. In his eighth season with the Tennessee Titans, Henry rushed for 1,167 yards and 12 touchdowns in 17 games. He averaged 4.2 yards per carry in 2023 and led the league with 280 carries.
The Ravens already led the NFL in rushing yards this past season, so the addition of Henry makes Baltimore even more fearsome on the ground. The Ravens earned the AFC’s top playoff seed after finishing 13–4 in 2023 but lost to the eventual Super Bowl-champion Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC championship game.
