On Wednesday, one of the NFL's most frequently speculated moves finally became apparent reality.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Buffalo Bills have an agreement in place to send wide receiver Stefon Diggs, a sixth-round draft pick and a 2025 fifth-round draft pick to the Houston Texans in exchange for a 2025 second-round draft pick.

Diggs, 30, has made the Pro Bowl each of the past four seasons. He ranks fourth in Bills franchise history in receiving yards, catches and receiving touchdowns.

As was the case when the Minnesota Vikings dealt him to Buffalo in 2020, the trade sent shock waves around the NFL.

Diggs's brother, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs, was flabbergasted.

Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk got ahead of jokes about his massive contract.

Texans legend JJ Watt loved it:

A number of observers endorsed the move for the Texans.

Miami Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert found his vacation rudely interrupted.

Despite Diggs's penchant for opaque behavior, much of the football world was taken by surprise.
