Patriots Ink S Kyle Dugger to Four-Year Contract, per Report
A classic New England Patriots success story is reportedly in line for a handsome reward.
The Patriots are signing safety Kyle Dugger to a four-year contract with a potential value of up to $66 million, according to a Sunday morning report from Eric Edholm and Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.
Dugger, 28, is entering his fourth year with New England.
The Patriots took him in the second round of the 2020 draft out of Divison II Lenoir-Rhyne, making him the first Bear player drafted into the NFL since 2000.
Thanks to Dugger's solid play, New England has not regretted its decision. The Decatur, Ga. native has intercepted nine career passes, and led the league in non-offensive touchdowns in 2022 with three.
According to NFL Network, Dugger's contract includes $32.5 million guaranteed.
Regardless of the pact's final value, it will constitute a significant raise for a player who made in the neighborhood of $2 million annually on his rookie deal.
