Arrest Warrant Issued for Chiefs' Rashee Rice After Multi-Vehicle Crash in Dallas
The Dallas Police Department issued an arrest warrant for Kansas City Chiefs receiver Rashee Rice due to his involvement in a multi-vehicle crash in March, WFAA first reported Wednesday.
Rice, who admitted last week that he was driving one of the luxury vehicles involved in the crash, faces eight charges in the case—one count of aggravated assault, one count of collision involving serious bodily injuries and six counts of collision involving injury.
The 23-year-old now has one day to turn himself in to police.
Rice, a second-round pick by the Chiefs in 2023, released a statement last week about his involvement in the crash.
"Today I met with Dallas PD investigators regarding Saturday's accident," Rice wrote on April 3. "I take full responsibility for my part in this matter and will continue to cooperate with the necessary authorities. I sincerely apologize to everyone impacted in Saturday's incident."
The crash was instigated when a Lamborghini SUV, driven by Rice, and a Corvette were speeding down a Dallas highway. The cars lost control and created a six-car chain reaction crash. Four people were treated for injuries.
