Former Ravens RB J.K. Dobbins to Sign One-Year Contract With Chargers
Baltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins will sign a one-year deal with the Los Angeles Chargers, both he and his agency Loyalty Above All confirmed Wednesday night.
Dobbins has spent his entire NFL career in Baltimore thus far. He played in 15 games his rookie year, but injuries have plagued his last three seasons. He tore his Achilles before the 2021 season, causing him to miss the entire year. He played in eight games in 2022, then only one game last season during which he once again tore his Achilles, this time in the team's Week 1 matchup.
"Let’s do it," Dobbins tweeted shortly after the news broke of his signing with the Chargers. He added a light blue heart to the tweet.
Dobbins will reunite with former Ravens running back Gus Edwards, who signed a two-year deal with the Chargers last month. Additionally, Dobbins will again play under offensive coordinator Greg Roman, who was the OC in Baltimore dating back to 2019 until he was hired by the Chargers in February.
