The Philadelphia Eagles have rewarded star wide receiver A.J. Brown with a record-setting new contract extension that will keep him with the organization through the 2029 NFL season, Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reported Thursday.

The 27-year-old will earn $96 million as part of his new three-year extension with $84 million guaranteed.

Brown's previous contract, a four-year, $100 million deal he signed in 2022, was set to run through the '26 season, but the Eagles managed to lock up the star wideout well beyond that with his new extension.

Brown has emerged as the favorite target of quarterback Jalen Hurts ever since Philadelphia acquired the receiver via a draft day trade with the Tennessee Titans in 2022.

Last season, Brown made his third Pro Bowl appearance and racked up a career-high 106 receptions on 158 targets while tallying 1,456 yards and seven touchdowns. Since being acquired by the Eagles, Brown has totaled 194 receptions, 2,952 receiving yards and 18 receiving touchdowns across two seasons.

Brown is the second wide receiver to get a new deal in Philadelphia this offseason, as DeVonta Smith signed a three-year extension earlier in April.
