Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs are coming off back-to-back Super Bowl titles and now it looks like they're getting even stronger after trading up to take Texas wide receiver Xavier Worthy with the No. 28 pick in Thursday night's first round of the 2024 NFL draft.

Oh, and they're also getting faster thanks to Worthy, who broke the scouting combine record in the 40-yard dash a few months ago when he ran it in a stunning 4.21 seconds.

Mahomes apparently loved the move, which he celebrated by tweeting two perfect emojis that summed up his feelings on his new speedy wide receiver pretty well:

Here's what Mahomes is so excited about:

Worthy seemed to speak this into existence after his showing at the combine when he said this to USA Today's Tyler Dragon:

β€œIn a perfect world, I definitely would want to go to the Chiefs,” Worthy said. β€œJust the way Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs improvise and use you. They had Tyreek Hill. The way they used him, I feel like that would be a perfect fit for me.”

The Chiefs are going to be a problem again in 2024.
