Jim Harbaugh Belts Out Michigan Fight Song After Chargers Select Junior Colson
New Los Angeles Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh, fresh off a national championship leading his alma mater at the University of Michigan this past January, couldn't help but break out the fight song after the Chargers drafted Michigan linebacker Junior Colson with the No. 69 pick in the 2024 NFL draft on Friday night.
After the Chargers made the selection of Colson, the team's social media account posted a video of Harbaugh bellowing out The Victors, the official fight song of the University of Michigan.
Once Harbaugh concluded with "Go Blue!" the entire war room broke out in applause.
The vibes are immaculate around the Chargers heading into a new era with Harbaugh running the show. The Chargers took top offensive tackle Joe Alt out of Notre Dame in the first round, and added Georgia wide receiver Ladd McConkey in the second round before the selection of Colson on Friday.
The Chargers have addressed positions of need with their first three picks, bolstering the offensive line and adding one of the best route-runners in the entire draft in McConkey.
As for Colson, he played in 43 games across three seasons in Ann Arbor, where he recorded 256 total tackles as one of the defense's most reliable players.
No wonder why Harbaugh was excited.
