Just when it seemed like the San Francisco 49ers were getting perfectly healthy, they ended up having one of their key starters pop up on the injury report. Arik Armstead was missing in action at Wednesday's practice with a foot injury.

This is concerning considering Armstead dealt with injuries to both of his feet last year. One was a fracture, while the other was plantar fasciitis. It caused him to miss significant time last season. The fracture shouldn't be a concern now, but plantar fasciitis can easily pop back up again for him.

“I'm not sure exactly. I know it's his foot. I’m not sure how similar it is.” said Kyle Shanahan on the details of Armstead's injury.

Missing one day of practice isn't concerning. Armstead can easily be limited for the next two, or even miss one more and still have a chance to play against the Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday. However, it's tough not to be a little worried that Armstead is dealing with plantar fasciitis again.

And it's not like Shanahan is the most transparent when it comes to injuries anyways, so chances are that it is an issue. His status will be one to monitor closely as the week progresses. Having him inactive against the Eagles will sting the 49ers as he's been such a dominant player in their last four games.

Trent Williams was also out of practice Wednesday, but it is part of his scheduled veteran rest days. There is nothing to worry about with him. Other players who were held out were Jordan Mason (hamstring) and Ray-Ray McCloud III (rib). Spencer Burford (knee) was also limited after he missed the 49ers' last game.
