A List of Upcoming Free Agents on the 49ers

With the offseason underway for the San Francisco 49ers, its time to look ahead at their upcoming free agents.
In this story:

The pain of losing Super Bowl LVIII to the Kansas City Chiefs is sure to stick with the San Francisco 49ers long into the offseason.

However, the team still has a job to do with offseason responsibilities. One of those responsibilities is the handling of free agency. The 49ers have a whopping 21 pending free agents in March. Some players will return, while others will not for various reasons. Arguably the one free agent who is the headliner is Jauan Jennings.

He was on the verge of becoming Super Bowl MVP had the 49ers pulled it through. By far, Jennings was the most impactful player on offense. Without him, the 49ers likely are way more stagnate on offense than they already were. Retaining him will surely be a priority for the 49ers, but it will get tricky given that they also have to extend Brandon Aiyuk.

Doing so will have the 49ers paying top dollar to two All-Pro caliber wide receivers. And while Jennings will not come close to the contract that Aiyuk will receive, his value is still one that will be tough to accommodate.  The bright side is that Jennings is a restricted free agent, so if he leaves for greener pastures money wise, then the 49ers can receive a draft pick in return.

It all depends on what kind of tender they place on him, which will in turn determine his value if the 49ers retain his services. The 49ers will have a ton of decisions on their hands. With all of that said, here is the full list of upcoming free agents.
