The 49ers still are the clear-cut favorite to win the NFC next season despite releasing Arik Armstead. They currently have +230 odds to win the conference.

Here are the biggest threats to the 49ers in NFC, according to BetUS.

1. The Detroit Lions: +550

They lost to the 49ers by just three points on the road in the NFC Championship Game, and they probably would have won if a couple bounces had gone their way. This offseason, they replaced Pro Bowl guard Jonah Jackson with Pro Bowl guard Kevin Zeitler, which probably is a wash. In addition, they added four starters to their defense: Marcus Davenport, D.J. Reader, Carlton Davis and Amik Robertson. Their defense should be much improved.

2. The Philadelphia Eagles: +650

They added Saquon Barkley, who should be much more effective on the Eagles than he was on the Giants, where it was him against the world. Philadelphia also added three starters to their defense: Bryce Huff, Devin White and C.J. Gardner-Johnson. They improved and got younger, but they're not as good as the team that went to the Super Bowl in 2023.

3. The Dallas Cowboys: +850

No one takes this team seriously, which is why Dallas is considering trading Dak Prescott. They know they're going nowhere with him. These odds are too high.

4. The Green Bay Packers: +900

The Packers are a dark horse to win the NFC. They have an extremely talented quarterback in Jordan Love who's entering just his second season as a starter and is still improving. In addition, they signed Josh Jacobs, who was the best running back in the league just a couple seasons ago. Don't be surprised if the 49ers meet Green Bay in the NFC Championship Game next season.
