The Matchup: Tennessee went 7-10 last year, finishing second in the AFC South. The Bears were 3-14, fourth in the NFC North.

The game features the No. 1 rushing team in the NFL, the Bears at a franchise-record 3,014 yards, against a Titans team ranked first stopping the run last year at 1,307 yards. Bears QB Justin Fields finished with 1,143 yards rushing. DJ Moore, Chase Claypool and Darnell Mooney head up a revamped Bears receiver corps. Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, linebackers T.J. Edwards and Tremaine Edmunds and defensive end DeMarcus Walker are key additions for the Bears defense.

The Titans have added former Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins, 49ers linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair, offensive lineman Andre Dillard former Jaguars pass rusher Arden Key and Buccaneers cornerback Sean Murphy-Bunting.

Of Note: The Bears were undefeated in three preseason games under Matt Eberflus in his first season. ... The Bears have a regular collection of former Titans in running back D'Onta Foreman, guard Nate Davis, Walker and linebacker Dylan Cole. ... Titans coach Mike Vrabel has announced he'll let assistants Terell Williams act as head coach in support of minority assistant coaches landing NFL head coaching jobs.

Key Titans to Watch: QB Malik Willis. With Will Levis now on the team, it's up to Willis to make more rapid progress to prove he's actually the QB to eventually replace Ryan Tannehill. ... Left guard Peter Skoronski, the former Northwestern tackle who was available to the Bears in the draft when they picked Wright. ... Defensive end Denico Autry, who was Matt Eberflus' defensive tackle and later an end with the Colts. ... Trey Wolff, who is competing with Caleb Shudak for Titans place-kicker, a problem position recently.

Key Bears to Watch: WR Tyler Scott, a rookie fourth-round pick who has been good enough to make an impact when playing with starters in scrimmage. ... Running back Trestan Ebner, who is still third on their depth chart in his second year and hopes to make in-roads while Roschon Johnson has had injury issues this week. ... Linebacker Noah Sewell, the fifth-round pick from Oregon who has had to replace Jack Sanborn due to injuries all off-season and through much of training camp to date. ... First-round pick from Tennessee, Darnell Wright. The starting Bears right tackle has been solid both run-blocking and pass-blocking through camp after losing 16 pounds.
