Bears Cornerback Position Unclear

Final Bears injury report includes great uncertainty in the secondary going up against Vikings' explosive offense.
In this story:

Cornerbacks are the biggest questions for the Bears as they head into a season finale against Minnesota in which they could do themselves a lot of good by losing to secure the first or second picks in the draft.

Cornerback Jaylon Jones is in the concussion protocol and hasn't practiced all week. Like Justin Fields (hip) and linebacker Sterling Weatherford (illness), he is officially out for the final game.

The other cornerback in danger of missing the game is rookie Kyler Gordon. He has a groin injury first reported on Thursday and is questionable for the game.
This could mean playing time for Harrison Hand, Breon Borders, Michael Ojemudia and even Greg Stroman Jr., who was just brought back to the practice squad after being cut at the end of training camp.

"You got OJ (Ojemudia) and Breon and those guys are going to be stepping in in those roles and it's importnat that they put their best foot forward, you know?" coach Matt Eberflus said. "The techniques and fundamentals that we teach are simple and they've been working on them since they've been here.

"So I'm excited about the opportunity for those guys to get  a chance, to look at those guys."

The other players who are questionable are reserve defensive linemen: defensive tackle Angelo Blackson (illness) and Terrell Lewis. Lewis missed Friday's practice for personal reasons. Blackson hasn't practiced this week but is still listed questionable.

Wide receiver and return man Dante Pettis, who had to go to a hospital for blurred vision after Sunday's game, did not have a concussion and was able to practice all week. He has been removed from the injury report.

Tight end Trevon Wesco also has been taken off the injury report. He had an ankle injury and was limited at the start of the week but finished up with two full practices.

The Vikings will be without starting center Garrett Bradbury (back) for the fifth consecutive game. Third center Chris Reed will play. Backup Austin Schlottmann was lost to injured reserve last week. Also out is defensive tackle James Lynch and as a result former Bears defensive lineman Jonathan Bullard could play, according to Inside the Vikings' Will Ragatz.

Linebacker Brian Asamoah, cornerback Cameron Dantzler and linebacker Za'Darius Smith are questionable. Minnesota could have tight end Irv Smith Jr. back from injured reserve on Sunday, as well. He hasn't played since the end of October due to a high ankle sprain.
