One other perceived problem with Caleb Williams as the first-round pick by the Bears at No. 1 overall has been dispatched.

Williams hasn't had an agent, still doesn't, and this has been perceived as a problem. However, it has been well known he had either an agent or former agent advising him.

According to The Athletic's Kalyn Kahler, the prerviously unnamed person advising Team Williams is highly respected certified NFL agent Tony Agnone.

Agnone represents center Corey Linsley, guard Jonah Jackson, recently waived Bills center Mitch Morse and former Bears tight end Ryan Griffin, among others. Tampa Bay coach Todd Bowles is a client of Agnone's as well.

The fact Williams doesn't have a regular client/representative relationship with Agnone isn't really much of an issue.

At least he's a certified agent. It isn't a repeat of the Roquan Smith situation with the mysterious uncertified advisor Saint Omni.

The reason this can even be important is certain representatives might be perceived as more willing to have their clients hold out in contract situations or to avoid coming to voluntary offseason work.

So far it's been Williams' habit of painting his fingernails or crying after the loss to Washington with his mother in the stands, and past unsubstantiated rumors he wasn't a good teammate or didn't want to be drafted by the Bears that have been addressed as shaky misgivings about the USC QB.

It's probably not surprising there have been so many false issues popping up because Williams has been the expected No. 1 for quite a long time, well back into the 2022 season.

Undoubtedly there will be even more before draft day.
