True to his word, Bears quarterback Justin Fields got the gang back together in Florida.

Joining Fields in the Miami area Friday at a workout with highlights posted on Twitter per SirSimeonKelley were backup QBs PJ Walker and Nathan Peterman, tight end Cole Kmet, wide receivers Darnell Mooney, Equanimeous St. Brown, Nsimba Webster, Daurice Fountain and even rookie Tyler Scott.

Oh, and one other receiver took part. It was Chase Claypool.

Mooney has been there, it seems whenever Fields is throwing in the off-season, and Kmet has done this in the past as well.

Claypool had been at a youth football camp in Europe earlier and wasn't spotted in workouts at Maine South High on Twitter when Mooney, DJ Moore and Kmet joined Fields.

It can't hurt to have as many of them as possible running routes and catching passes. The Chiefs and Tampa Bay both had extensive off-season work away from their practice facilities when they won Super Bowls.

Adding Scott seemed only a matter of time considering how many catches he was making during OTAs and minicamp, mostly from Walker but sometimes Fields.

Fields, the Bears tight ends and  receivers haven't been the only ones working out on their own.

Fox NFC North reporter Carmen Vitali wrote about Teven Jenkins,  Braxton Jones Jr. and Ja'Tyre Carter attending the sixth annual OL Masterminds summit together in the Dallas area. It's a bit like the Tight End U that Cole Kmet has been attending the past few years.

Among other things at the summit, the players hear from legendary linemen like Bruce Matthews, Damien Woody, Will Shields and Steve Hutchinson.
