Justin Fields really did stop following the Bears on Instagram and it might have more to do with the constant bickering on social media than the possibility he has been told he's being traded.

On The 33rd Team's St. Brown Brothers podcast, Fields was the guest for Amon-Ra and Equanimeous in their Season 2 finale and said he's trying not to follow things that have to do with football in general.

"Why do people take social media so serious, like?" Fields asked when Amon-Ra St. Brown tried to pin him down over not following the Bears on Instagram. "I still mess with the Bears. I'm just trying to take a little break. I'm just trying to not have football on my timeline."

Fields revealed during the talk with Equanimeous and Amon-Ra that he's planning to take a vacation in the next few weeks to Amsterdam and Milan and get away from the sport.

"It's something that I don't want to see on my timeline," Fields said. "I'm about to go on vacation. I don't want to see no football. Every Bears post it's either 'Keep Fields or we want Fields' or 'draft Caleb.' It's like bro...man, I'm tired of hearing the talk. We want Fields, draft Caleb. It's like bro!"

Fields said he's not following football now, but is following Ohio State.

"It's basketball season," he said. "I'm not posting nothing about football."

He added: "I just want it to be over."

It was a common theme.

"Yeah, of course. Of course I want to stay," he said. "To be honest I've been trying, with all the talk, it's hard to be in one place, but I can't see myself playing in another place. But I know how the league is ... if it was up to me I would want to stay in Chicago. I love the city. The fans are great, and the people. But it's a business and I ain't go no control over it, so whatever happens, happens.

"I feel like the biggest thing with all of this going on right now is I just want it to be over. Just let me know if I'm getting traded. Let me know if I'm staying."

Not satisfied with the answer, Amon-Ra pointed out he Fields was following Drake London of the Falcons.  Atlanta is Fields' hometown and the Falcons are  looking for a QB.

"What do you mean what's up with that?" Fields shot back at Amon-Ra. "I follow you!"

The big grin Fields wore throught the whole social media discussion said there might be more to all of it than he was letting on but we'll not know that until or if there actually is a trade.

The podcast lasts over an hour and covered other important topics about Fields, like which Atlanta Falcons player last season was horrible at trash-talking him and how officials still refuse to call penalties when he gets hit, as  well as his favorite stadiums to play in.

One of those favorites was Acrisure Stadium (formerly Heinz Field) in Pittsburgh. The Steelers are rumored to be one of the teams interested in Fields and he only played in their stadium once. It was that game in 2021 where Fields centered his talk about the officiating.

"I'm not going to get fined, I shouldn't get fined here, on here, right?" Fields asked. "I gotta say they (officials) cheated. They cheated us out of that game."

The Bears lost in the closing seconds and a controversial unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on edge rusher Cassius Marsh figured into it, one which Fields brought up.

Fields took some big hits in the game without penalties and the Bears defense was flagged for lesser hits on Ben Roethlisberger. The game was officiated by Tony Corrente's crew. Corrente has since retired from the NFL.

As far as getting hit, Fields admitted he sometimes tried to bait officials into flags as a rookie.

"I flopped my rookie year but then I stopped flopping," he said.

Fields also reveals his dirtiest player to face, someone Amon-Ra disagreed with greatly, and he talked about the hardest hit he ever took.

It was in high school.

It was so hard that, "I'm thinking I lost a tooth," Fields said.

Maybe the next most interesting part for Bears fans was when Fields revealed near the end the team's two receivers are who think they are always right, besides Equanimeous, who was laughing about it throughout.
