Bengals Cornerback Josh Newton Has Perfect Answer When Asked About First NFL Interception

CINCINNATI — Bengals cornerback Josh Newton had quite the debut in his first NFL game on Saturday night.

Newton finished with two tackles (one one special teams), one interception and one pass defensed.

He was asked about the play and what went through his mind after he hauled in the interception.

"Get another one," Newton said bluntly.

He credited the veterans in the locker room for that mindset, but Newton's playmaking ability, attitude and competitiveness have stood out to the entire team since he was drafted.

The Bengals took Newton in the fifth-round (149th overall) of the 2024 NFL Draft. The rookie has been impressive and Saturday night's performance is just the latest example of his early success.
